Expressionism
The use of the web seems to fluctuate into and out of many zones of nearly every human economic activity but have we understood our leap into idea revelation offered in evolving social networks that aim to being us closer together by using up all our free time communicating. But so what? The more interaction between humans the more evidence there is of human intellect. The web stores that, and makes it available for later reference.

Social Media fooling itself
The BBC conducted an experiment with advertising to create "Likes" on Facebook for a bland fictional virtual bagel group. It received nearly 3,000 Likes in a few days, but these seemed oddly distributed mainly coming from India. For whatever reason, it represents a dilution of the actual effect of the advert. If we say a message got responses when in fact it just got targeted by a machine then the industry is involved in a self deception.
What is wrong? Is it that the FB original mission of a purile quiz Hot or Not? has not run away with a fundamentally flawed idea, that the appearance of the approval of others does not guarantee validity. A genuine FB campaign that creates online engagement. Fake advertising results will not.
That someone is probably being paid to respond in this way would be of concern to those validating advertising figures. The same is true of constituents following the Tweets of politicians. When do they have time to write Tweets? Of course they do not. Except maybe Boris Johnson.
Reach implies audience. Targeting requires the attention of potential buyers.

Give me an iMac
Working in many environments I get exposed to many methods of working. Given a working environment, usually a Windows 7 PC connected to some kind of hosting infrastructure backend and public site hosting these days seems to be a "standard".
Or being given an iMac with some kind of hosting backend. Vastly better!
Both require the same working infrastructure of virtual hosts: Linux, Apache, Mysql, PHP (LAMP). It does not matter what environment I am given, I tend to do the same thing these days: create a virtual machine environment and setup the latest version of Ubuntu Linux.
But for productivity, for comfort and general ease of use, give me an iMac! I have had it with Windows. I have had it with Flash crashes. I have moved from the dark side to the other dark side.
My next computer will be an iMac as it does everything that I normally do, but it does it better. And the huge 27inch screen is a pleasure to work with.

The role of trivia
The fabric of the internet has transformed in its serious approach to a social interaction - a set of coda to be adjusted to, that consume our time and hone our thinking into new paradigms. The triumph of trivia over academia on the internet is the interchange of reactions to things. An interplay of personae.
Mere membership of a website and marketing to buyer could not exceed the point of membership - which is constantly growing content - a magazine approach of the blog - every week you cut a new one, so to speak. It is only the interesting magazines that will survive so you are dependent upon having things to say.

Mediareality
The role of Piracy in evolving new marketing? Why is there any market in physical media? Is this the death of the artifact? The limited imagination of box shifting media executives confounded by invisible equivalents and millions of competitors will cause a flourish of inexpensive movies certainly, but the film industry will still exist but its golden age seems to continue. There is no gateway that limits creative expression and soon media using the latest method of transporting and repainting bits enmassr will evolve again and again.

What is up their sleeves?
The Personalisation of search engines and the great Google and Facebook rights trampling exercises that seem imminent are an extraordinary experiment in social openness that establishes connections that were not intentional by both parties. Those friend invites that never got accepted territory may have its reasons. They are probably valid reasons to give your published without volition history of you on facebook. Wow. What a context of organised diaried window into your existence it is. Serious posting bouts are laid bare for the world to see - yes this blogger is serious - he cross posts comments from six identifies is not what makes the internet work. It is the ability to convey emotional affects like tears or laughter with surprise and sound - this is the missing experience of the medium. And why? We have the tools - but they either make movies or rock and roll or tv. The blogger may be better not to stray too far into life broadcast unless he can sustain a standard of living due to investments which have a high enough rate of return that you feel it incumbent upon you to foolishly invest the rest where there are possible huge returns for the maximum risk the market can withstand.
In theory, Janet blogs she is going to have to get that new white dress and pretty soon it gets amoung her friends who blogs about it gets googled into fame and bingo Janet's business connects to a world it otherwise would not have.
By offering us what we have already asked a question about may or may not help the indecisive to become buyers but it raises other questions. One of which is the beauty of randomness - rendering occasional unique combinations of individual, idea and opportunity at unelected moments.
Ultimately limiting our randomised viewing of advertising is focusing upon brand as opposed to providing the myth of choice/ In as much as that there is an effort to control the myth is the spending of millions anointing a successor to the soon to be a movie John McCain campaign or his fatal mistake in selecting a cynical mythical approach to the woman who would be vice-president. Maybe it is simply more fashionable to try again when she is not having such a perfect life. Why spoil indulgence for more political points when she is already a religion, an assured speaker to a set of beliefs that could suck the life from the economy,

A society must evolve if it is to survive, that seems self evident. What we do is dictated to be the possibilities installed into our thinking by the deluge of images we see/ But we find our way. We kind of believe we know what to do, what is tasteful and correct and the other will appreciate our fine taste. It is an international indulgence, a form of everlasting media that lasts for a very long time, and people are prepared to pay for it.
